Artist Bio

Niyati Jiwani is a contemporary landscape painter based in Atlanta, Georgia, whose semi-abstract paintings explore the emotional and atmospheric essence of nature. Working primarily in acrylics and oils, she creates evocative landscapes through expressive brushwork, layered textures, and harmonious color palettes that invite moments of stillness, reflection, and connection.

Born in Mumbai, India, Niyati developed an early passion for both art and literature. She holds two bachelor's degrees and a master's degree in Literature and spent many years as an educator teaching literature and art. Throughout her academic career, she continued to cultivate her artistic practice, gradually developing a distinctive visual language inspired by memory, emotion, and the restorative power of the natural world.

Since making Georgia her home, Niyati has found endless inspiration in its remarkable landscapes, particularly the Blue Ridge Mountains. The mist drifting across mountain ridges, ancient forests, winding rivers, and cascading waterfalls evoke emotions that transcend words. Rather than depicting specific locations, she seeks to capture the quiet wonder and peaceful presence experienced within these places, transforming them into immersive, contemplative landscapes.

After relocating to the United States, Niyati devoted herself fully to painting, expanding her artistic practice through continued exploration and experimentation. Her work balances abstraction with recognizable natural forms, creating spaces that feel both familiar and imagined—where memory, atmosphere, and emotion converge.

Niyati has exhibited extensively throughout the United States, including participation in Art Expo New York and numerous juried exhibitions and gallery shows. Her paintings are held in private collections across the United States, where they offer collectors a lasting sense of tranquility, renewal, and connection with nature.
