Artist Bio

Niyati Jiwani is a contemporary painter based in Georgia whose work explores the emotional and atmospheric language of landscape. Working primarily in oils and acrylic, she creates abstract landscapes through layered textures and intuitive mark-making, allowing each painting to evolve organically. Her process is deeply responsive—guided by movement, erosion, and subtle shifts in color—resulting in surfaces that carry a quiet sense of depth and stillness.

Rather than depicting specific locations, Jiwani’s work reflects an internal response to nature, evoking spaces that feel both familiar and undefined places remembered rather than seen. Her compositions often suggest horizons, water, and shifting landforms without fully defining them, balancing structure with openness. This ambiguity invites viewers to enter the work through their own memory and interpretation.

Rooted in a desire to slow down perception, her paintings create environments that feel both expansive and intimate, where light, texture, and silence coexist. She balances calmness with subtle energy, offering a quiet meditation on presence, space, and the unseen rhythms of the natural world.
